Fix desktop recording
Check capture status, permissions, displays, sign-in, and updates.
If Timeglass is not capturing, open the desktop app and work through these checks.
Check the capture status
The Home screen explains whether capture is active, paused, waiting for sign-in, or missing access. Resume capture if it was paused. If it paused outside your hours, check Settings → Pausing → Work schedule.
Check permissions on macOS
Open Settings → Permissions. Screen Recording and Accessibility must be allowed. If a card says access is missing, select Open Settings, grant it in macOS, and restart Timeglass if asked.
Check display privacy
If every monitor is skipped, no screenshots can be captured, and Home shows No displays are being captured. Select Configure displays, or open Settings → Privacy → Displays, and switch at least one display to Capturing.
Sign in again
If the app shows Not signed in, select Sign in and finish signing in in your browser.
Check for an update
Go to Settings → Application → Updates and select Check for updates. See Update the desktop app.
On Linux
Some Linux desktop sessions don’t share window titles or screenshots with apps. When that happens, Settings → Permissions shows a notice saying what is unavailable. If you declined your desktop’s screenshot prompt, select Show screenshot dialog again and allow it.
