- Set the period and filtersChoose the Period and Time included. Choose Approved time for a final payroll run, then use Contributors to limit the people or teams who appear.
- Choose the columnsSelect the columns button, which shows how many columns are included. Keep First name, Last name, and Email (or add Full name), plus Period start, Period end, and Hours. Remove Team, Activity group, Client, Project, Category, and Subcategory so each person gets one row. With Team left in, someone who logged time on two teams gets a row per team. Rename columns when your payroll system expects different headers. Use Choose to add or remove columns and Arrange to reorder or rename them.
- Create the fileCheck the preview and row count, then select Create CSV, Create Excel, or Create PDF. The finished file appears in your export history.
Repeat it next pay period
Open a finished payroll export that hasn’t expired and select Run again. A new export opens with the same filters and columns, moved to the next matching period. Some older exports open on the same period instead, so check the Period before you create the file.
Common questions
Why does my payroll export have several rows per person?
Each work column splits the rows, and so does Team: someone who logged time on two teams gets a row per team. Remove Team, Activity group, Client, Project, Category, and Subcategory so each person gets one row with their total Hours.
How do I repeat last pay period’s export?
Open the finished export and select Run again. A new export opens with the same filters and columns for the next matching period. Run again isn’t offered on expired exports, and some older exports reopen on the same period, so check the Period.
