Data retention & deletion

How long data is kept and how to delete it.

Set how long Timeglass keeps screenshots before automatic cleanup. Minute summaries and derived activity remain available.

  1. Open Security settings
    Go to Settings → Security and scroll to Data Retention.

  2. Choose a retention period
    Open Retention Period. Available choices range from immediate deletion to indefinite retention. Ninety days is the recommended default.

    Choose the shortest period that fits your company’s policy.
  3. Review the new policy
    After selecting a period, check the value and the note about what will be deleted.

  4. Save the change
    Select Save Changes. The confirmation states that the data-retention settings were updated.

Local snapshots

Screen snapshots on a member’s computer are removed after processing, or after a short window when they were never uploaded.
